Other Languages

OLS courses are designed to prepare American Professionals for foreign languages such as Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian and German. Each course consists of a Linguistic and a Cultural Awareness Program. Classes are personalized to meet the specific needs and interests of our students.

- Linguistic Program for Foreign Languages:

This program integrates four linguistics skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) so that students will be able to understand social and professional conversations. Students will acquire a vocabulary that will allow them to express their opinions, doubts as well as ask specific questions.

The same program is offered in English as a Second Language.

- Cultural Awareness Program:

The awareness works as a culture shock buffer. The purpose is to prepare executives and families moving abroad for the cultural experience they are about to embark on through discussions, reading material, and helpful hints.

This program also consists of pertinent information on social issues such as educational systems and the media; economic and political issues and issues on business culture and ethics.

- Our Instructors and methodology:

Their high academic credentials and extensive experience in education helps us select our native speaker instructors. Our teaching methodology is designed to promote active learning through an intensive focus on grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and pronunciation, as well as an examination of the cultural nuances that are an important part of language acquisition. Instructors utilize innovative teaching methods that include audio, video and CD-ROM to smooth the progress of new language acquisition. We maintain the size of the classes small, which allows our instructors to demonstrate a personal interest in the learning process and performance of each student.

- Courses Schedule:

Our Company offers a highly personalized approach to teaching and we can adapt the schedule of classes to the client’s needs. The course subject matter and duration are defined after an initial evaluation. During this evaluation we determine the participant's proficiency level, set the objectives and ideal number of class hours in order to reach the goal. For those professionals who need to learn quickly, we recommend the High Intensity format (3 to 6 hours a day, 5 times per week) to accelerate their language attainment. We also offer semi-intensive courses 1 hour a day 2-3 times per week.
